SW15: Favourites Of The Lineup

I'm late yes I know, but I'm sick, full of cold and flu tablets, but obviously I had to have my say on the Soundwave lineup for 2015! The facts are: Perth doesn't get Soundwave, two days of a killer lineup and me having to go interstate to actually see this.

This is the first announcement, with a Soundwave Rep (probably AJ, but I can't remember) saying there was around 14 more bands to be announced.
My opinion on the lineup is that it is like a mixture of a lot of past Soundwave festivals combined into one, just to make the first Soundwave with the new structure of two days and one less city something that everyone can relate to.

Personal highlights of the SW15 lineup include the following-

New Found Glory

They've been around for quite a while now and they seem to still be going strong. The "Godfathers of Pop Punk" have an upcoming studio album due for release on October 7, their first as a four-piece.

Songs that should really, really be on the setlist: My Friends Over You and Kiss Me.

Crown The Empire

Formed in 2010, Crown The Empire will be returning to the Australian shores for Soundwave 2015. They played the stage at Warped Tour Australia in 2013 with a huge, positive response from fans.
Songs that should really be on the setlist: Memories of A Broken Heart and Limitless.

Fall Out Boy

They ended their hiatus not too long ago, released a new album and are currently touring with Paramore on the MonumenTour, they're back and better then ever. This is definitely a band that you don't want to miss!
Songs that should really, really be on the setlist: Dance, Dance and Miss Missing You.

All Time Low

All Time Low are back to Soundwave Festival after being included in 2013 and an Australian tour later that year. The pop punk band with a huge following are back on the Australian land with their killer performance.
Songs that should really, really be on the setlist: Time Bomb and Outlines.

Of Mice & Men

Another band that played Soundwave 2013, Of Mice & Men then returned with Bring Me The Horizon towards the end of 2013. With a release of an album not all the long ago, Restoring Force was very popular, as i'm sure they will be at Soundwave 2015 as well.
Songs that should really, really be on the setlist: Second & Sebring and Feels Like Forever.

Escape The Fate

This is basically just to calm down my inner 14 year old fangirl who went through that emo phase. Max Green is no longer in the band, leaving Robert Ortiz as the only founding member.
Songs that should really, really be on the setlist: Situations and There's No Sympathy For The Dead.

Tonight Alive

The Aussie Pop Punk powerhouses have made a name for themselves all over the world music scenes and are quickly gaining popularity and don't show any signs of slowing down.
Songs that should really, really be on the setlist: Lonely Girl and Fake It.

This is my little list of bands that I will be going to see at Soundwave 2015. Which ones are you excited for?
