Every year my Mum asks me what I want for Christmas, and I'm pretty sure every year that gets SO much harder to answer. This is because of two reasons: firstly; if during the year I want something it is more than likely I'll just go out and buy it myself (saving money is still not my strong point) and secondly; most things that I haven't bought yet are vastly expensive, even for Father Christmas. I'm fairly certain my parents have already finished their Christmas shopping, but if you are one of the sill few (like me) who haven't finished, or even started their gift shopping and have a fussy teenage girl in the mix to purchase something for, take some inspiration from my beauty wish list.
Makeup can be a safe bet when Christmas shopping for a teenage girl, an even safer bet for makeup is gift sets. Every Christmas most high end makeup brands come out with holiday Christmas sets, that most of the time become pretty discounted, perfect for both you as the buyer and the recipient of your gift.
Melted Kisses Set from Too Faced: $34
Four different shades of the infamous Melted lipsticks from Too Faced will put a smile on your teenage girls face, and at only $34. You can find these in store at all Mecca stores.
Greatest Hits: Cheek Palette from Napoleon Perdis: $45
Napoleon have released some AMAZING Greatest Hits packs in their holiday collection this year including lip products and brushes. My favourite however (yes I did buy this for myself) is this check palette: highlights, blushes and bronzes, I'm in love. You can find these at all Napoleon counters in David Jones and Myer, as well as their stand alone stores.
Rock Attitude Set from Yves Saint Laurent: $99
This is a little more on the pricier side, but hey everything YSL is. This set is a collection of their best selling eye products- so you know you're getting quality for your girl. The pack includes their Volume Effet Faux Clis mascara, Touche Eclat N2 to reduce dark circles under the eyes, an eye liner and their Top Secrets Eye Makeup Remover. YSL have counters at both Myer and David Jones.
Most (emphasis on most) girls would be quite happy with receiving a cute, nice smelling perfume for Christmas, I mean who doesn't like to smell pretty? Below are some of my top picks for buying your teenage girl some fragrance this year.
Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent: from $90
This is a very feminine scent with it smelling rather floral, with added scents of white floral, black coffee and a dash of vanilla. The smallest bottles- 30mL will cost you $90, but it is very worth it. This fragrance is available at all YSL counters is Myer and David Jones.
Daisy Dreams by Marc Jacobs: $90
This is another feminine scent, but in a very different way to the last. This is a very fruity smell with scents such as grapefruit, blackberry and pear mixed in with some musk and coconut water to create something that will get your girl compliments every time she wears it. This is available in Myer, David Jones and most places that sell fragrances.
Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture: from $85
I love this one so much! This is a very flirty scent with smells such as honeysuckle and gardenia mixed in with jasmine and some fritu such as wild berries and mandarin. The price for various sizes of this with range from $85- $110, depending on how much you think your girl will love it. This is also available at Myer, David Jones and most fragrance selling stores.
Here is a some beauty inspiration for you're last minute Christmas shopping for a teenage girl, I wish you luck in braving the shopping centres at this time.
